Tourmaline Spring “Sacred Living Water” is an untreated spring water from Summit Spring in Harrison Maine that is completely exempt from all processing requirements because it exceeds all state and federal guidelines for drinking water out of the ground.
“Raw Water” is now rebranded as Tourmaline Spring and bottled in the same fashion by gravity unfiltered, and untreated. Tourmaline Spring is  literally telling the geologic history of Summit Spring, where the water itself bubbles up through bedrock aquifers composed of what are called “complex gem pegmatite’s”. These are mineral rich granite bodies that make up the matrix for Tourmaline pockets. They are contained on every mountain and hill for miles around the spring.
In the 1800’s Tourmaline Spring  water was sold as a healing tonic with claims that it relieved a host of common maladies, from arthritis, kidney disease, to nervous disorders. It was put up in 35 gallon spruce barrels and glass bottles and shipped by horse-drawn carriage, steamer, train, and ocean liner to major cities around the US and even to Europe. Our source remains one of the oldest and most revered natural spring water sources in North America. Included in the Myers, Suter & Co., Book of Cures, 1881. Our spring water was sold in NYC in 1881, for .40 cents per gallon! That price today with inflationary adjustments, would be over $100 per gallon.

Not the most exciting fish to catch on the fly but very rewarding to eat. This flounder spend about 10 minutes in an 800°F wood-fired pizza style oven steaming in its own shell. The result is a moist incredible subtle tasting fish that only requires a little salt. A Super Low Minerality still water would be my choice for the dish. The simple preparation of the fish reminded me of Tourmaline Spring. The only water in the U.S. as far as I know, that is completely exempt from all processing requirements (filtering, ozonating, ..) because it exceeds all state and federal guidelines for drinking water out of the ground.
